V E Day Doorstep Photo Shoots
V.E. DAY DOORSTEP PHOTO SHOOTS!
Doorstep photo shoots are something you may have seen other photographers offering during lockdown. I’ve been in two minds about the whole thing to be honest and so I decided it was best not to do it.
However, as you all know, it’s V.E. Day on Friday and I thought that actually, if I was going to do it, that would be the best day. It would be nice for people to have a family photo as a memory of the day and their time in lockdown. Photographs play such a huge part in history, even if it’s just for your personal family history.
V.E. DAY DOORSTEP PHOTO SHOOT ROUTE
So, on my daily dog walk on Friday, I intend to take my camera. I will take 1 doorstep photograph of any individual, couple or family who would like to participate. V E Day doorstep photo shoots are on!
2 Metres Social Distancing will be adhered to (I will use my 70-200mm lens which means I will most definitely need to be 2m’s away from you!).
It’s going to be warm on Friday so, for the sake of my dog, I will leave my house at 10am. I live at the Brent Pelham end of Great Hormead and I will walk straight through Great Hormead. Past The Three Tuns
& Hormead School, up to The Meads. I will turn left at The Beehive
and walk along towards the south end of Hare Street where I turn left along Worsted Lane. The final part of the route is to head back into Great Hormead, past St Nicholas Church and turning right at the bottom of Horseshoe Hill before heading home.
If you would like your photo taken just make sure you are at your doorstep when I come past. If you have a driveway or you want to make sure you don’t miss me please pop me through a message. Ideally before 9am on Friday morning (with your address) so I make sure to stop for you.
THIS IS A COMPLIMENTARY GIFT FROM ME TO YOU!
You will receive your photo as a downloadable jpeg (you will need to message me your email so I can send it to you).
Would you like to make a CHARITABLE DONATION in return? Then I suggest NHS CHARITIES TOGETHER
or HELP FOR HEROES
but any charity of your choice will be great.
I hope this doesn’t cause anyone offence.
I have carefully considered this and I will be taking the photographs during my daily exercise and I will ensure social distancing is adhered to.
It is a one off, I intend to spread just a little bit of joy and perhaps make a small amount for charity.
V.E. DAY ACTIVITIES
Looking for something to do with the kids over the next couple of days?
How about printing off these colouring sheets and bunting. They should make fabulous Stay Home decorations.
VE DAY COLOURING
VE DAY BUNTING
If retro is your thing then this place looks like great fun with an extensive cocktail list. Although it will be a while until it’s open again but it’s definitely on my list of “To Do’s” when we can.
